International Flight Operation To Start At Terminal 2 Of Bangalore Airport!
BIAL (Bangalore International Airport Limited) announced the start of international operations at BLR Airport’s Terminal 2 on September 12, 2023, at 10.45 am and forward. This announcement followed a consultation with regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.
The airport in Bangalore went on to say that this choice was made after carefully weighing a number of aspects, such as legal compliance, operational effectiveness, and passenger convenience.
They added in a tweet that they were committed to ensuring a seamless transition for our passengers. Moreover, they will be taking all necessary measures to facilitate a smooth relocation of international operations to the new facility in coordination with their airline partners.

Operation Delayed Due To Last-Minute Review
The start of international operations at Terminal 2 was previously announced by Bangalore International Airport on August 31. The airport had stated that the last-minute choice was made during the final review of preparations in order to give our passengers the best and most seamless changeover possible. There was pandemonium and bewilderment among passengers as a result of the last-minute cancellation.
Prior, a BIAL statement had stated that travellers arriving at T2 may anticipate simple transfers and expedited immigration and customs processes. To increase accessibility to T2, a new 4.4 kilometer-long access road called the “Terminal Boulevard” opened earlier this year.
The road provides a peaceful drive without any traffic lights and links to T2 departures and arrivals. Free shuttle services are also commonly provided between T1 and T2 for the comfort of travellers. T2 is situated on the eastern side of Terminal 1 and covers an area of 255,661 square metres. It can accommodate 25 million people a year.
