These idlis are made by placing two banana leaves on a pan. These leaves are then smeared with ghee and then a generous layer of veggie masala that tastes like onion sabzi. Then, another layer of masala is sprinkled over the veggie masala. Finally, a layer of idli batter with some kalonji is added to the leaf. The idlis are then pan-fried for a few minutes with some more ghee. Once done, these idlis are then served with three types of chutneys and sambar. All in all, the dish definitely lives up to its hype!
