It seems that doing bizarre and unusual activities in modes of transport has now become something of a trend. After countless videos of passengers on the Delhi Metro engaged in unusual activities like dancing went viral, it seems that now, Mumbai locals have become the new hotspot for such talent. Recently, a video of a woman went viral on the Internet which showed her dancing in the Mumbai local trains.

The Mumbai local trains are the epicentre of the quintessential Mumbai experience. No Mumbaikar worth their salt can deny the flurry of mixed emotions that one experiences while travelling in the local train. Hence, anything out of the ordinary that goes on here is bound to reverberate with Mumbaikars.
Recently, a video of a woman belly dancing on the local train went viral on the Internet. This Indian Shakira was spotted between Sandhurst Road and Masjid Bandar stations. From the view outside the train, it seems to be on the Central Line and not on the Harbour Line.
The video was shared by Aliya Mirja, who is a professional belly dancer according to her Instagram bio. This is not the first time she has shaken a leg (and her hips) inside Mumbai Locals.

Netizens Have Mixed Response To The Video
Given the nature of the video, the reaction from Netizens was a mixed one. While many applauded her talent and courage to perform so boldly in public, others objected to it and called it lewd. Many thought that such a dance should not have been performed in public.
Yet others had hilarious responses. One commenter, in particular, asked the dancer to go easy or else the train would derail from its track. One commenter asked her to be cautious since she was dancing close to the train entrance and one wrong move or one slip-up could be mean disaster for her.
