Mutton Maggi

There’s something quite alluring about Maharashtrian cuisine. The complexity of flavours and the fiery spice levels are some of the reasons why it has a loyal fan base. Recently, our good ol’ Maggi got a zhanzhanit Maharashtrian twist. A group of men led by content creator Sagar Vidhate prepared Chulivaril Mutton Maggi and Netizens had mixed reasons about it.

Content Creator Makes Mutton Maggi With His Friends

Content creator Sagar Vidhate posted a reel showing the making of Chulivaril Mutton Maggi on his Instagram handle @namasteiindia. And you’ve got to see what the fuss is all about! Sagar and his friends first emptied a large number of Maggi packets into a massive steel plate. Next, they split the dry instant noodles apart, so they could cook faster.

Next, they poured oil into a massive kadai placed over firewood. Then, the cooks added curry leaves, chopped onions and salt, turmeric and chilli powder into the kadai. Then, they stirred the spices in the pot. Pieces of mutton are added into the kadai next with water. The men stir the mutton simmering with oil and spices. They pour a large quantity of water to soften the meat and close the lid so it can cook in its steam.

After a while, they carry a plate of instant Maggi noodles and empty it into the kadai with meaty gravy. The noodles are cooked in the pot, simmering in the spicy, flavoursome gravy as the mutton turns succulent. Cooked over firewood, the dish emanates a smoky taste, presumably. A copious amount of Maggi masala is added to the pot for the final touch. The piping hot Mutton Maggi is served in small steel plates.

Some others were worried that the mutton wasn’t cooked enough. Some even slammed the men for fiddling with their beloved Maggi.
