We Explored Anupam Kher’s Acting School In Juhu

On the recent episode of Sunday Brunch, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, had the opportunity to visit the iconic actor’s acting school in Mumbai to explore every nook and cranny of it. At Anupam Kher’s Acting School In Mumbai

Anupam Ji opened the doors of his acting school, Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares, for Curly Tales. We were beyond excited to meet the veteran actor and catch up with him for the second time on our show! Our enthusiastic souls ended up crashing his teaching session on emotions. As Bollywood fanatics, watching him showcase his masterful skills was truly a delight.

Soon, we were on a tour of the school, Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares. The walls were adorned with numerous film posters, photographs, film memorabilia, and everything related to the world of cinema. There is a dedicated section for the brilliant comic actor, Charlie Chaplin, as Anupam Ji adores him wholeheartedly. 

The hallway to his room had posters of his popular films and we didn’t know where to look or what to miss! Everything in the building screamed cinema and we loved every bit of it.

This Thoughts On Lifetime Achievement Award

The next stop on the tour was Anupam Kher’s “showoff room,” where all of his achievements and awards were on display. Anupam sir’s trophy cabinet had many of them lined up neatly. Among the IIFA and Filmfare trophies, he pointed out the prestigious Padma Shri Award 2004 and Padma Bhushan Award 2016.

Did you know he was going to get a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023? Well, the 69-year-old actor refused to accept it and stated to the authorities, “No, not for another twenty years.” We absolutely agree, Kher Ji! 

Next, we delved into his one-man play, ‘Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai’ and learnt all about the idea behind it. We also sat in his room to talk more about films, acting and Bollywood. We were fascinated with all these beautiful frames of precious memories.
