RCB Pledges Financial Aid For Stampede Victims
RCB is known to have one of the most loyal and supportive fan bases in the history of IPL. They waited patiently for 17 years for their team to lift the IPL trophy and wished to celebrate the momentous occasion with the boys in red as soon as they landed in Bengaluru on Wednesday. What followed was truly unfortunate.
The team management took to their official Instagram account to share how the stampede in Bengaluru “has caused a lot of anguish and pain to the RCB family.” In the wake of the unfortunate incident, they announced financial support of “₹10 lakh to each of the eleven families of the deceased.”
Standing strong by their fans, they have also set up a special fund called ‘RCB Cares’ to support fans who got injured in the incident. They concluded the post with a message, “Our fans will always remain at the heart of everything that we do. We remain united in grief.”
