K-pop, K-dramas and movies, and K-fashion made ‘glass skin’ and flawless skin the beauty standard across the world. While people are ready to splurge on South Korean makeup and skincare brands, the idea of visiting a makeup store or booking a skincare treatment in Seoul’s trendiest neighbourhoods is even more exciting for them. The biggest reason for K-beauty tourism’s rise is also the fact that Korean beauty has moved beyond plastic surgery.
