National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) partnered with Airtel Payments Bank to launch Namo Bharat National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC). The co-branded card was unveiled on October 3. The primary significance of these cards is to provide easy connectivity between the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) and different modes of public transportation. The collaboration of NCRTC and Airtel Payments Bank introduced Namo Bharat National Common Mobility Cards aiming to offer seamless connections. In addition, the cards prioritise improving travel experiences and integrating RRTS and several modes of public transport smoothly for commuters.

According to the official NCRTC website, these all-in-one mobility cards “include debit, prepaid, and prepaid payment instruments for mass transit solutions (PPI- MTS) options.” NCRTC Managing Director Shalabh Goel and Airtel Payments Bank Chief Operating Officer Ganesh Ananthanarayanan introduced NCMC at the launch event organised on Thursday.

One of the most exciting features of Namo Bharat NCMC is the tap-and-pay technology. This is a wonderful addition for faster transactions at eligible places. According to a report by CNBC TV18, commuters can get these all-new cards at RRTS stations. The time has come to enjoy convenient travel experiences on Namo Bharat trains. With these cards, users can enjoy easy experiences on allowed buses, metros, and trains. There is no need to buy different tickets.

  • Next, they can visit ticket windows at RRTS stations to buy these cards, according to the official statement.
  • With Airtel Payments Bank providing the PPI-MTS prepaid card option, customers can get Namo Bharat NCMC using the Airtel Thanks app’s Airtel Payments Bank section.

Shalabh Goel expressed his thoughts stating that the collaboration between NCRTC and Airtel Payments Bank for Namo Bharat NCMC established an important step in the venture company’s efforts to enhance and ensure seamless connectivity across the region. Commuters can use these advanced cards to travel across the country’s first-ever RRTS and different public transit systems easily.
