According to an article which was recently published by the Deccan Chronicle or DC, this particular mobile application helps people eat more mindfully. It offers a toolkit to users which facilitates them to make informed decisions and responsible food choices.
What is more, it also has an AI-powered tool which has photo recognition. This photo recognition tool allows users to upload pictures of food on the app and get information about its calories. Yes! You read that right!
In order to promote climate-conscious food habits, it also shows the carbon footprint different food choices would generate. How cool is that! This app would be a must-install for health freaks and the climate-conscious alike.
Other Important Details That You Should Know About The App
As per the DC article, this particular app was tested on as many as 720 individuals in Hyderabad before it was launched. The director of NIN, Dr. Hemlatha R, said at the launch event of the app that it strives to provide its users with an engaging experience.
The ultimate purpose of the app is to ensure that people ‘mind’ what they eat and ‘move’ to make sure that they are getting enough physical exercise.
