The Tinder Babe Scam, as per the satirical meme page Andheri West Shit Posting, is when extremely attractive women match with average or below-average-looking men. The match is not made out of genuine interest. As per the post, these women have tie-ups with certain bars and restaurants.
Upon matching, these women insist on meeting up at expensive places and bars. They “lure” the men with the promise of sex but instead, end up drinking and eating at the expensive restaurant. They leave the exorbitant bill for the man to pay.
Following this one-sided feast, they are quick to leave the place and will then block the man online. Along with the post, AWSP shared a picture of a bill totalling a whopping ₹44,000!
Here Is How You Can Be Safe From It
In order to avoid being scammed, the post suggests that people should be self-aware and pay attention to the red flags. They should avoid meeting up at shady or super expensive places. Furthermore, it is also suggested that being open with the person you’re meeting helps.
Set ground rules that you won’t go to expensive places on first dates or politely ask if they’re okay with splitting the bill. Discussing these things beforehand and then gauging their reaction helps a lot in identifying red flags in online dating.
