“What’s With So Many Biryani Centres In Bangalore?” Asks Redditor; Misses Mudde Sarru, Rasam Rice

No matter if we love or hate ghar ka khaana and the simplicity of homemade food, we surely understand its value and priceless worth after starting to live alone without our families. Adulthood comes with a long list of struggles and finding good food in a new city seems like a common issue for all. Recently, a Bengaluru man asked about the rise in biryani centres in the city and looks like many can relate to him.

Taking to Reddit, u/bullibala shared a rant on how Bengaluru is seeing an increase in biryani centres everywhere.

The Redditor shared a post on how he has been staying alone at home for about a week and facing some issues with getting food from outside. Though he prefers eating homemade food usually, with WFH, his morning classes, evening workouts, and a bit of laziness, he chose to eat food from outside. He has kind of been forced to eat outside and meanwhile faced some problems of not getting enough options.

While looking for proper places and choices, he realised that he could not find a single mess or home-cooked place in north Bengaluru. Instead of many varieties, he came across many biryani shops. The man shared how he noticed biryani centres every two stops on the main road. “Ambur donne aramane biryani everywhere”, he added.

He left a question asking if biryani became a staple food or if there is no demand for other meals. Lastly, he also added how he missed chapathi palya, mudde sarru, and rasam rice.
