Anupam Kher’s Acting Journey Began With A Lie!
Hailing from a small town and living in a lower-middle-class family, one can often dream of so many things. But the journey towards it is never easy. Anupam Ji ran away from his home at a young age to go to a drama school in Chandigarh. He stole ₹100 from her mother’s temple and lied to his parents saying that he is going to a picnic with his childhood friends. When his parents knew about the truth, his mum slapped him. And soon later his father announced the good news that he got selected for the class. With this selection, he also got the scholarship and it helped him during his struggling days.
Did You Know That Anupam Kher Was Thrown From Akashvani?
In the year 1973, he bagged the job of an announcer on this radio station. He had the job to announce some highlights but unfortunately, he couldn’t pronounce a word properly while being on air. This led to him getting fired from the job. Anupam Ji even shared jokingly, “Whenever I met Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, maine kaha thank you sir…aapke wajah se main actor ban gaya warna main radio mein announcer banta” (I said thank you sir… because of you I became an actor otherwise I would have become an announcer in radio).
