Reports are stating that starting from 1 May 2023, the temple is going to be shut down for an indefinite time. The management of the Sai Baba Temple has taken the decision to close the doors of the temple. According to a report by WION, the trust is shutting down the Shirdi temple to conduct a protest against the Central government. The government decided that the Central Industrial Security Force will be working to protect the temple.

Till now, the temple has been managed by the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust. When it comes to protecting the Sai Baba Temple, the state police are safeguarding the temple. Reports claim that the administration and management of the Shirdi Sai Baba temple allegedly shared that the Central Industrial Security Force does not have the proper provision and training to manage the huge security of the shrine.

Amid all this news, the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust has clarified the truth. Taking to its official website, SSST stated that worshipping Sai Baba and other rituals will continue as usual. Different rituals, traditions, and facilities from Sansthan will be continuing.

CISF Is Managing The Airport

The Central Industrial Security Force is working at the Shirdi airport since 2018. They are deployed there to handle airport security. And now the central government took the decision to deploy the CISF at the Shirdi temple as well.
