1 Lakh Passengers In 1 Month, Mumbai To Shirdi & Mumbai To Solapur Vande Bharat Is A Hit

The Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express and Mumbai-Solapur Vande Bharat Express were introduced by Indian Railways last month. People have welcomed this service so well that within a month of its commencement, over 1 lakh passengers travelled in it. This has led to a revenue generation of ₹8.60 crores ever since the introduction of these trains on February 11. 

Mumbai To Shirdi & Mumbai To Solapur Vande Bharat Carries More Than A Lakh Passengers

Within a month of their launches, the Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express and the Mumbai-Solapur Vande Bharat Express carried 1,00,259 passengers in 32 days. 

The Mumbai-Solapur Express brought in a revenue of ₹2.07 crore, while the Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi Express brought in ₹2.23 crore as revenue. 

The passenger count for 22225 Mumbai-Solapur was 26,028 from Dadar, Pune, CSMT, Kalyan, and Kurduwadi. For the 22226 Solapur-Mumbai, the passenger count was 27,520 from Pune, Kurduwadi, and Solapur.

The 22223 Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express brought in a revenue of  ₹2.05 crore. ₹2.25 crore is the revenue generated by the 22224 Sainagar Shirdi – Mumbai Vande Bharat Express.

The passenger count for Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi was 23,296 passengers from Nashik Road, Dadar, Thane, and CSMT. The count for Sainagar Shirdi-Mumbai was 23,415 passengers from Nashik Road and Sainagar Shirdi. (As reported by LiveMint)

PM Flagged Off These Trains

On February 10, from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi signalled the start of the Vande Bharat trains. 

The ninth and tenth trains of these series are the Mumbai-Solapur-Mumbai  Express and the Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi-Mumbai  Express, respectively.

Superior passenger amenities offered by these trains include onboard Wi-Fi infotainment, plush interiors, diffused LED lighting,  and individual touch-based reading lights. It also includes a GPS-based passenger information system, concealed roller blinds, bio-vacuum toilets with touch-free amenities, and charging ports under seats. The cooling is adjusted by the intelligent air-conditioning system based on climate conditions. 

The success of these trains has given a boost to the Indian Railways, which has always worked towards giving passengers a better experience.
