Recently, he took to his Twitter account and shared a list of countries ranked by the number of universities in the country. Surprisingly, India topped this list and that is what the business tycoon was expressing his delight about. He also shares another list along with his thoughts.

Anand Mahindra recently shared a list of countries ranked by the number of universities they have. India topped the list as the country with the highest number of universities. According to the screenshot that Mahindra shared, India has a total of 5,288 universities.
He also shared another screenshot of a list of countries with the most number of universities in the list of the world’s top 500 universities. The United States of America or the USA topped the list with as many as 83 universities in the list of the world’s top 500 universities.
In this list, India ranked as low as 15th. The two lists show the glaring disparity between the quality and quantity of education given in the country. Commenting on the same, Mahindra said that as glad as he is to see India rank highest in the list of countries with the most number of universities, the goal is to make quality equal to quantity.
