According to her complaint, she allegedly faced “permanent bodily injuries” after eating Dragon Balls at Coup de Thai. Not just this, she further added in her lawsuit that she could feel her entire mouth, roof of her mouth, tongue, throat, and nose burning badly like fire. Walia started suffering from all these concerns right after eating the spicy dish at the San Jose restaurant.
It has been specified on the menu of Coup de Thai that Dragon Balls are extremely spicy and there is also a picture of hot red pepper next to the dish so that people can understand how spicy it is going to be. The restaurant gives a warning to the foodies with this chilli pepper. Costing $11, this dish is made with chicken, kaffir lime leaves, rice, cilantro, chilli, and green onion.
The Woman Was Aware Of The Spice Level Served At This Thai Restaurant!
Harjasleen knew that Dragon Balls served at this place are very spicy. And this is why she requested a milder recipe. She could not tolerate spice and fell ill soon after eating the appetiser. Calling it “unfit for human consumption”, the lawsuit also claims that this food is “dangerous to life”.
According to the attorneys of the woman, they are demanding remuneration for all the medical costs and legal costs, and seeking general damages, according to a report by the New York Post.
