It’s not without any reason that Uttar Pradesh is known as the “Florida of India”. Almost every other day some incident of unruly behaviour is reported from the state. And this time sadly, a toll plaza worker from Greater Noida had to bear the brunt of it for simply doing her job.

A woman viciously assaulted a female toll plaza staff member in Greater Noida when asked for toll payment. The incident took place at the Luharli toll plaza within the Dadri police station area of Uttar Pradesh. The entire event was captured on the toll plaza’s CCTV camera.
The footage reveals the woman’s extreme anger upon being asked for payment. The footage shows the woman forcefully entering the toll booth and physically attacking the staff member.
The toll worker stayed calm and silent despite the chaos. The situation escalated when the woman aggressively grabbed the toll worker’s hair. She violently assaulted the staff member, pulling her to the ground. The assault was not just unwarranted by also sudden.
As per reports by Times Now, the police arrived and promptly arrested the woman. The report also stated that she now faces charges of assault and criminal intimidation. This is also not the first time a toll plaza worker has been attacked for their job.

Toll Plaza Worker Brutally Beaten Up For Demanding Payment
In February earlier this year, A car was stopped due to a payment issue at the toll plaza in Greater Noida. The incident happened at the Loharli toll plaza on National Highway (NH) 91 at 11:30 am. In the video, a group of men argued with the toll plaza employee about the payment problem, as per NDTV reports.
Shortly after, one of the men struck a worker and security personnel with a stick. The Dadri police station received a complaint against the men and is currently investigating the matter.

Incidents like these reflect the privilege of those who don’t understand the plight of the workers. Safety precautions for the toll workers have been a conversation that is forever been in the rounds but without any concrete solution.
