It has been a few weeks since the reconstructed Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway was inaugurated and commuters finally started commuting on it. The makeover of this motorway has made the journeys of vehicular movement way better and enhanced than before. The toll collection on this highway started on 15 March 2023. Here’s All You Need To Know About The Increased Toll At Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway

The National Highways Authority of India has made a hike in the toll rate on the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta stretch of the expressway, according to a report by The Times Of India. They increased it by a huge extent of 22 per cent. The toll collection takes place from Bengaluru to Mysuru. This rise in toll rate is for all kinds of vehicles travelling here. This new decision of the change in toll rate took place only about 2 weeks after the starting of toll collection here. The increased per cent will come into action from 1 April 2023.

Ever since the toll collection began on the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway, no auto-rickshaws and two-wheelers can get access here. The entire construction of the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway is still incomplete.

Before the increase in toll rate, commuters in four-wheeler vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans paid ₹135 to travel one way between Nidaghatta and Bengaluru. They will now need to pay ₹165. The toll for a round-trip between Nidaghatta and Bengaluru was ₹205. It will now be ₹250. The toll was ₹220 for a single trip for light motor vehicles and minibuses. It will now be ₹270. And the toll increased from ₹330 to ₹405 for a round trip.

Commuters Are Furious With This Hike!

People are very angry after hearing about the toll increase on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway. Many commuters feel the past toll rates were already high on the highway.
