World’s Biggest Rakhi At 1000-Ft Long From Madhya Pradesh To Clench Guinness World Record

As India gears up for Raksha Bandhan, Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district is looking forward to larger-than-life celebrations this year. Didn’t get us? The Madhya Pradesh district is all set to make the ‘world’s biggest rakhi’ spanning 1000 feet in length and even clench the Guinness World Record this year.

Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind Creates World’s Biggest Rakhi

According to a report by Live Hindustan, Ashok Bhardwaj a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader is creating the world’s biggest rakhi on his farm in Bhind. He took up this project after suggestions from other BJP leaders. The team first researched to find out the current world record and then decided to break it.

Over 10 skilled craftsmen are working hard to create the massive rakhi with fabric, thermocol sheets, wood and cardboard. The central element of the rakhi is a circular decoration of 25 feet in diameter. Next to it are two ornamental balls measuring 15 feet each. Many artisans are working tirelessly in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind to colour, adorn and assemble the ornamental components.

Ashok Bhardwaj revealed to Live Hindustan that he wants the world’s biggest rakhi to make it to the India Book of Records, the Asia Book of Records, Limca Book of Records, the World Book of Records and the Guinness World Records. Moreover, the representatives of the Guinness World Records will visit Bhind on August 31 to reassess the project and officially give the title to the recipients. The rakhi is set to be the “world’s biggest”.

A Way To Increase Tourism In MP!

Once the world’s largest rakhi is crowned with the Guinness World Record, this rakhi will be presented in a huge exhibition till Janmashtami. On a day that celebrates the beautiful bond between a brother and sister, Bhardwaj hopes this massive rakhi will celebrate this beautiful relationship in Bhind and across the world. Moreover, the BJP leader wishes ‘the world’s biggest rakhi’ will promote the culture and heritage of Madhya Pradesh. And also boost tourism in the Bhind district.
