Mumbai city is all set to inaugurate an international tourism complex cum aquarium by December 2023. Worli will be the home to this swanky project. Interestingly, this international aquarium also is the first ‘one of a kind’ in India. Decks have already been cleared for this extraordinary project. The officials shared all the details about this sometime back. This will surely be a revolutionising establishment in the city of dreams.

All You Need To Know About Worli’s Tourism Complex Cum Aquarium :

This tourism complex cum aquarium will cover over an area of 14.55 acres at the Worli Dairy Complex near the Rajiv Gandhi Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The entire project will cost somewhere around ₹1,000 crores. The Maharashtra government issued an official notification regarding the project. This official notification is about transferring the sea-facing land to the Revenue Department and then to the Urban Development Department. The State Dairy Development Department currently possesses this sea-facing piece of land.

This project is a key initiative of the Maha Vikas Aghadi. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar focus on encouraging more tourists to the state. They aim to bring more visitors every year, both domestic and international with this driven project.

The D. B. Taraporevala Aquarium at Marine Drive is the first aquarium in India and is the home to over 2,000 fishes from 400 species of seawater or fresh-water creatures of India and other countries. It might be the oldest aquarium in the country, but this one in Worli is the first international attraction of its kind in the country.
