X User Shares Video Of Mumbai Auto Driver Abusing Opp Bademiya; Netizens Say, “No Fear Of Police”

In a city like Mumbai clogged with traffic jams, hitching an auto rickshaw guarantees you to reach sooner than travelling by car. So, there are times when Netizens have taken to social media to share their encounters with auto drivers, both pleasant and unpleasant. Recently, a Mumbaikar shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) of an auto driver in Mumbai who double parked opposite Bademiya restaurant and abused the X user on confrontation.

Bhavesh Sadhnani took to X to share his unpleasant encounter with an auto driver in Mumbai. @SadhnaniBhavesh tagged Mumbai Police and Mumbai Traffic Police in his post. He further asked them to take strict action against an auto driver. He revealed in his post that the auto-rickshaw driver double parked in the corner and when confronted about the same he abused the passenger. Bhavesh Sadhnani asked Mumbai Police to take action against him for hooliganism. 

A video shared by @SadhnaniBhavesh shows the auto driver getting out of his vehicle and proudly posing for the video. “Photo chahiye na? Photo nikaal, chal!” ( You want a photo right? Click the photo!) He aggressively said his name was Amit Talreja. “Sindhi, Sindhi ki g**** maarte ho” ( You are f****** with a Sindhi, despite being a Sindhi). The auto-rickshaw was parked opposite Bademiya restaurant at Bandra West on Linking Road.

Netizens Share Demand Strict Action

Mumbai Traffic Police replied to his tweet that they would share his concern with the Bandra Traffic Division for necessary stringent action. Another X user, @vikasgk shared a picture of the auto’s number plate and shared that he too faced similar hassles with this auto driver. He said that he faced a different problem with this auto driver at T2 terminal. Apparently, this auto driver initially refused to travel to Powai and asked him to disembark from the vehicle. But later “good sense prevailed” and he ferried him.

@unni1942 emphasises that double parking is an ongoing problem on Malad East roads due to the lack of footpaths. @SigmamaleMumbai says, “Well, an auto driver unafraid of anyone and liberally sprinkling profanity? Sounds like a real charmer on the road. Commute goals, right?” @CleangreenEast says, “@CPMumbaiPolicesir, what kind of language and arrogance. Double parking is a huge menace by autorickshaw drivers. Kindly take strict action against this errant driver.”

@devpuria comments, “Even from Santacruz station east to hakim chowk ( golibar road ) Khar East ,They ride on wrong side with 4 passenger in share causing danger to people on road still police men their doesn’t do anything to stop them.” @resh1978

They have no fear of the police. And this is the outcome.. why is the police loosing its power in front of them? An auto guy knows har patti se kaam ho jaayega. Mumbai police needs to move beyond just informing. Strict action and more than 10-15 offences should lead to cancellation of licences!! @resh1978 writes, that auto drivers have no fear of the police. She calls for strict action being taken against such drivers.
