Well, if your answer is yes, then you will want to know that Air India Express recently announced that it has increased the free check-in baggage to 30 KG. In fact, it mentioned that it has increased the baggage for passengers flying to the UAE, Middle East, and other destinations. Here’s all you need to know about this development.

As announced by Air India Express, the airline now offers 7 KG of cabin baggage. Yes, as revealed in a report by Khaleej Times, it offers a free cabin baggage allowance of up to two pieces of baggage with a combined weight of not over 7 KG. This is besides the free checked-in baggage. Moreover, guests can also carry one laptop bag, handbag, backpack, or any other small bag that can fit under the seat in front of them.

Not to mention, families who are travelling with infants can carry an additional complimentary 10 KG checked-in baggage. Yes, this brings the total allowed baggage to 47 KG, which includes 7 KG cabin bag. At this point, it’s worth mentioning that the India-UAE corridor is one of the busiest in the world with millions of residents and visitors flying between the two nations.

The Budget Carrier Flies to Several Destinations

Moreover, the budget carrier, which operates about 450 weekly flights is already looking to expand its network. Yes, the airline is planning to add flights to the destinations of Bangkok and Phuket in Thailand. Not to mention, there are plans for increased access to destinations in the Middle East, such as Dammam, Ras Al Khaimah, Muscat, and Abu Dhabi.

Passengers travelling without any baggage can opt for Express Lite. This allows them to travel at lower than the regular fares and includes a 3 KG baggage allowance.
