The Jammu & Kashmir tourism department aims to make the snow-clad areas accessible despite snow or other extreme weather conditions. Keeping this in mind, according to multiple media reports, a proposal to introduce helicopter rides through these areas has been given. Such rides will ensure that tourists visit the gorgeous state, despite the snow or winter season and witness the beauty of the mountains from the skies. A few parts are already seeing a huge footfall and to stabilise the growth, helicopter services will begin this year.

The tourism department aims to introduce various activities in the region to keep the visitors engaged during the snow season.
