Google Maps Now Gives Fog And Flood Alerts On The App
According to an article which was recently published by MSN the tech giant recently announced that they have made some big updates for their Indian market. They will be able to provide real-time weather updates to the users of Google Maps so that travellers are informed about their destination’s weather.
Users will also be able to send updates about a road. For instance, if they encounter a flood or excessive fog on the road, they will be able to alert the app. This will help the app alert others who may travel on the same road, allowing them to be prepared.
This feature will certainly prove helpful especially when the weather is unfavourable. In addition to these, there are around six other features that Google Maps have received. These features are based on AI.
Other AI-Based Features That The Tech Giant Is Launching
An AI-based routing features help motorists understand which roads are too narrow for motorists. This helps four-wheelers to navigate their journey smoothly. What is more, as many as 40 towns across the country will receive the ‘flyover callout’ feature.
Routes with flyovers will be suggested which will help drivers navigate their journey more effectively. The app has also improved the public transport feature of the app which has an improved suggestion for people looking for guidance on public transport.
