India’s train travel has never been tastier or more convenient! One of India’s top online travel agencies, MakeMyTrip, has partnered with Zomato, the nation’s most popular food delivery service. Together, they are offering travellers an option to order food from more than 40,000 restaurants and have it delivered straight to their train seats. This service is now available at more than 130 train stations across India.
MakeMyTrip And Zomato Bring Food To Your Train Seat
Every day, thousands of people travel by train in India, and the demand for quick and simple food options is rising. And this new partnership enables MakeMyTrip to meet this growing demand with its “Food on Train” feature. With MakeMyTrip’s Live Train Status tool, which tracks train movements, travellers can now order food whenever they want.
“We have been growing faster than the industry overall in train bookings, thanks to our focus on customer-centric innovations,” said Raj Rishi Singh, Chief Business Officer & CMO at MakeMyTrip. He also added that with the Food on Train Marketplace up and running, travellers have more options and convenience.
Zomato’s VP of product, Rahul Gupta, said the company is committed to giving its users seamless and enjoyable experiences. They have partnered with MakeMyTrip to enable train passengers to order food from their favourite restaurants and have it delivered directly to their seats.

Rail Travel Meets Gourmet Convenience
With a number of innovative features, MakeMyTrip is simplifying every part of train travel. Passengers have additional flexibility with seat lock, free cancellation, station assistance, and seat availability forecasts. Real-time train tracking, a new on-train food delivery service, and other features make travelling easier and more convenient from beginning to end.
Zomato has delivered more than 4.6 million meals at more than 130 stations since it was approved as an IRCTC partner for on-train food delivery. Using their PNR information, passengers can reserve meals up to seven days in advance and enjoy a wide range of cuisines at various price points.
With MakeMyTrip and Zomato working together, train journeys are about enjoying every moment along the way.
