You Need To Be Crazy To Run A Restaurant, As Per The Chef

Not only is our esteemed guest a talented chef, but he also is a restaurateur who operates over ten successful restaurants across the world. While relishing a feast of umami Pan-Asian dishes at Shifuku by Curly Tales, Chef Ranveer Brar gave us insight into what it’s like running a restaurant.

He revealed that there are a lot of moving parts in running a restaurant and anything can happen at any time. You therefore have to always be on your toes. He summed it up perfectly, “You have to be crazy to run a restaurant.”

He also revealed that passion is one of the major drivers for a restaurant. If one is not passionate about food through and through, running a restaurant will burn you out or you’ll run out of money. He also mentioned that the ratio of investment vs returns is not something that a lot of people will find worth the effort.
