Travel creator couple Kara and Nate recently stayed at a hotel called ‘Deep Sleep’. Unlike hotels that provide scenic views and luxurious amenities, this one is an adventure lover’s paradise! Why? Well, it is nestled 1,300 feet deep inside an old slate mine built in the 1800s. To reach inside the hotel, one has to crawl, zip-line, and even rappel!

Deep Sleep has four cabins and serves freeze-dried meals. Also, they do have a toilet inside, so you don’t have to worry about that! The couple stayed in the special ‘Grotto’ room, which is built inside an old mine tunnel. They shared that the beds are comfortable, and because it is so silent in there, Kara had one of the “best sleeps” of her life. She does admit that the room is a little spooky, but the overall experience of staying in the world’s deepest hotel was “100% worth adding to your bucket list.”
