Ever since the pandemic, people have started taking their health very seriously. A huge number of people are shifting their focus to living a healthy lifestyle. You must have come across many people posting their fitness journeys on the internet, which are very motivating. Well, recently, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal shared his inspiring fitness journey on Instagram, where he lost about 15 kg of weight.
Deepinder Goyal Talks About His Fitness Journey
Deepinder Goyal, the founder and CEO of Zomato, recently provided a glimpse into his own fitness journey. In a post on Instagram, he posted before and after images, that is, two Post-it notes from 2019 and 2023.
His body weight, cholesterol level, and body fat percent were listed on the two Post-it notes for 2019 and 2023, respectively. According to the post-it notes, Goyal’s weight decreased from 87 kg in 2019 to 72 kg in 2023. In just four years, Mr. Goyal also lowered his cholesterol and body fat percentage levels.
Goyal spoke about his ability to lose 15 kg in 4 years in a blog post. He started keeping track of his carb intake and began eating well and exercising frequently. The site stated that all of this cuisine was delivered through Zomato because home cooking is high in carbohydrates.

Hired A Chief Fitness Officer For Company
Deepinder Goyal claimed that he didn’t engage in any extreme behaviour and that he always indulged in chole bhature, butter chicken, gulab jamun, and other treats on the weekends. But in comparison to his old tendencies, he consistently displayed healthier behaviour each week. His physical and mental health have improved as a result of consistency without extremes.
Goyal is highly serious about his employees’ health in addition to his own. So much so that he appointed a Chief Fitness Officer, a “new kind of CFO,” whose responsibility it is to keep an eye on the health and diet of the staff.
On July 31, Goyal announced the hiring of Anmol Gupta as the organisation’s first-ever Chief Fitness Officer. According to Goyal, it is no secret that a high-performing person is supported in large part by their physical health, which affects their mental health as well.
Goyal’s admirers were very moved by his metamorphosis and gave him high praise in the comments. (As per Money Control)
