5 Food Trucks In Bangalore You Have To Try Right Now

Since the moment I saw Chef, starring Jon Favreau and Sofia Vergara, i‘ve been dreaming of having my own food truck. Oh! Just dreaming there.

I am no professional in cooking or management to be able to handle such responsibility but luckily for me there are a bunch of wonderful souls willing to take up the noble task. I was in Bangalore last year and the most beautiful memories I have are the bike rides my sister and I would take to these Food Trucks at different locations in the city.

Food trucks have been quite a trend in metros lately and Bangalore has the biggest collection of these ‘Meals on Wheels’. Here a few of my favourites, I’d gladly recommend to anyone in the city:

1. S.W.A.T. Food Truck

Military themed truck serving the best Mexican and American fast-food using their SWAT force of awesome cooks and chefs. S.W.A.T. which stands for ‘Serving With A Twist’ is certainly one of its kind in the city of Bangalore.

2. Square Ruth

Trippy and drippy fast food. Square Ruth is one of the oldest food trucks in the city and has quite a story behind that name. Let me tell you something that will make you want to rush to this place right away; their sauces are all home-made. Ah! Its a piece of heaven on earth each time you bite into the food they serve you.

3. The Great Indian Bhukkad

The Great Indian Bhukkad is a vegetarian’s paradise specialising in North Indian and Indian Chinese combos. They’ve taken the rolls culture to whole new level as they’ve introduced to us, their signature roll; Corn Mayo special and each bite of it leaves me speechless. Their recipes are filled with Szechwan and Manchurians along with rajma and chole.

They call their truck the Big Red Machine and bring out dishes that would make you feel like you are a part of Hollywood movies where you run around in trench coats and get this go to meal. In short, the food is tasty, authentic, no fuss and such a comfort.
