What To Buy?
An art and craft bazaar is the perfect place to pick up pretty things, right? So splurge on home decor, tilework, rugs and other fancy stuff. You can visit the Papier Machie stall that has pretty handicrafts from Kashmir. There is another stall that has enamelware created using Minakari, an ancient art form, prettily done in blue.
You will also find Persian carpets and rugs with different, intricate designs, hand-woven Iranian rugs, carpets and seat covers. Not just clothes and artefacts, the bazaar has stalls for custom calligraphy in Farsi, using gold ink. I think this will make for a great frame in your living room and even an interesting gift for someone.
Find metal carvings, miniature paintings, turquoise artefacts and a lot of other pretty things that wouldn’t be available so easily otherwise. It sounds like something I want to try. Will I see you there?
