The closure of the airport will certainly affect a lot of passengers and especially, during the time of summer vacation starting later this month. It handles 30 commercial flights daily, including international flights to Dubai, Sharjah and Bangkok. The airport also sees an Indian Air Force (IAF) base that had relocated all its aircrafts to alternative bases across North India.
