Maggi, for Indians, is not just food. It’s an emotion! Who doesn’t remember the old days when you’d come home from school to a steaming bowl of Maggi? We can even smell it now. Perhaps one of the best parts about Maggi is that not only that it’s delicious on its own, but also that it is extremely versatile. That’s what’s special about it! However, its versatility has led to some absolutely unfortunate creations and this expensive Maggi might be one of them.

This Expensive Maggi Has Netizens In A Tizzy

Maggi’s versatility has been a double-edged sword. While it allows people to innovate and create uniquely tasty recipes, it has also given rise to some culinary Frankenstein’s monsters. Recently, a food blogger by the name of Harry Uppal shared a video of a person selling Maggi at ₹400!

In case you’re not well-versed with Maggi prices, cooked Maggi is found at such stalls for around ₹50 to ₹80 bucks, depending on the variety of ingredients going in it. An uncooked pack of Maggi costs around ₹20 to ₹40 depending on its weight.

So you can imagine the shock that some of the people on the Internet received when they found out that the Maggi is for ₹400! Many people took to the comment section and expressed their incredulity at the price. In case you’re wondering why this Maggi is so expensive, it’s because of its unique recipe.

This particular recipe of Maggi involves a type of protein that isn’t usually part of Maggi recipes. You’ve heard of anda (egg) Maggi or even chicken Maggi, but this Maggi incorporates mutton! Yes! While justifying the price of the Maggi, the owner of the stall describes its flavour.

He says that his Maggi tastes just like a delicious mutton curry and you even get pieces of meat in it. He cooks the Maggi in front of the camera and adds a variety of spices and finally adds the mutton curry along with meat pieces. That’s why it costs ₹400.

This stall is in Pashchim Vihar, Delhi, and is called Bunty Meat Wala.
