The government recently announced that the movie would reopen from the October 15. While it comes as a great news for all the movie buffs, we can expect our theatre experience to change in many many ways. If you are thinking, whether you will still get to grab that bag of popcorn at the counter, you may not have that leisure right now. The food counters will likely remain closed to reduce contact points. Here are all the other changes you can expect when you go for a movie the next time.

1. Theatres Will Have Sanitiser Stations

There will sanitiser stations placed between rows in the movie theatre which will allow guests to sanitise their hands whenever they touch any surface continually. However, it is always ways to carry your own sanitiser bottles if you do not want to get up and reach the santiser stations every time.

2. Face Masks Would Be Mandatory

Just like any other public place, masks would be made mandatory in movie theatres too. A light and breathable cloth mask can be the best option if you think, putting on a mask for three long hours in a movie hall will be too much for you. Movie Theatres & Multiplexes In India Will Reopen At 50% Capacity From October 15.

3. Only Contactless Payment Options Would Be Available

Movie halls and theatres will now prefer contactless transactions so keep your Gpay, Phonepe and Paytm ready. Payment via card is not advisable as it involves physical contact.

4. Cinema Halls Would Focus On Deep Cleaning

5. Body Temperature Checks At Entry Points

6. Theatres Will Follow Cross Allocation Of Seats

Not all cinema halls would be available for sale, keeping in mind the social distancing measures. The theatres will follow cross-allocation of seats to ensure that there is enough distance between the audience. Online booking will allocate seats in that order. Cross allocation would also mean that no theatre will show a houseful sign.

The entry, intermissions and exits of two shows will not coincide in movie screenings to avoid crowding of lobbies and restrooms.
