12 Huge Bridges To Link Dubai To New Mall

Dubai is set to be blessed with a massive new mall in the first quarter of 2020. Emaar is the brain behind the new project and construction of roads and bridges leading to the Dubai Hills Mall is 45% complete.

What’s It?

Twelve brand new bridges, each with four lanes are also part of the AED 780 million project. The bridges are constructed in order to facilitate faster connectivity to the mall from Downtown Dubai, Emirates Hills, Dubai Marina and Arabian Ranches.

Once completed, the mall will boast 650 retail outlets, along with entertainment and leisure facilities for families. Mattar Al Tayer, of Dubai Roads and Transport Authority said: “The project covers the construction of internal roads at Dubai Hills Estate to ease the movement of residents of Al Barsha South 1 and 2, and link them with new roads and bridges”.

The mall will also boast a massive 20-screen cineplex, an outdoor arena dedicated for concerts, a 65,000 square-food hypermarket and parking spaces for more than 7,000 vehicles.

What Else?

Meanwhile, Dubai has yet another addition to it’s long list of malls. The Meydan One Mall will be nothing like the malls the city has seen so far.

This is the first mall to feature a Crystal Lagoon water park, a 1 km ski-slope, a dancing fountain that is 380-meter long, and the region’s first indoor 4,000 square-meter electric go-karting track. That’s not it! Spread across 1.5 million square meters, Meydan One Mall will also be home to 550 shops, a 13,200 square meter hypermarket, 190 restaurants and bars, a 21-screen cinema, and a parking space that will hold up to 12,000 vehicles.

The highlight of this architectural giant however, is the region’s first indoor electric go-karting track which will be brought to Dubai in partnership with E-Karting.

The mall shall also have a huge multipurpose plaza with a capacity of 30,000 people. This space will be used to host a diverse range of entertainment activities for the visitors.

The Mega Mall is set to open doors to the public by the second half of 2020.
