189 Passengers With Crew Left Without AC On Chandigarh-Jaipur IndiGo Flight; MLA Slams Airline

In any other mode of transportation, air conditioning may not be as important because there is already oxygen in the surrounding environment. However, air conditioning in planes is a different story. Recently, passengers of IndiGo had to face an extremely uncomfortable flight, one that lacked air conditioning. A video that was recently shared on Twitter showed passengers suffering through the heat on the flight. Here are the details you need to know.

IndiGo Flight Has No AC For The Duration Of Its Journey

In the video shared on the micro-blogging website, passengers can be seen fanning themselves in the sweltering heat. This incident took place on the IndiGo flight which was headed to Jaipur in Rajasthan from Chandigarh in Punjab.

The flight was scheduled for the 5th of August and was numbered 6E7261. The journey was around an hour long and based on what the passengers said about it, the flight was an extremely uncomfortable one. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, who is Punjab’s Congress MLA, was also on the flight.

He posted a video of people fanning themselves in the terrible heat which resulted from the AC not being turned on. He dubbed the flight as a horrifying experience. According to what he has stated in the tweet, the passengers were first made to wait in line for about 15 minutes under the scorching sun.

Passengers Seen Fanning Themselves

He also said that the ACs were turned off for the entire duration of the flight. Many passengers in the video can be seen fanning themselves. Flight attendants, too, were perspiring and passing along tissues and wet wipes to the extremely uncomfortable passengers.

He even called it a major technical issue and said that the health and comfort of the passengers was put at stake. In his tweet, he even tagged the Directorate General of Civil Aviation ( DGCA ) as well as the Airports Authority of India or the AAI and urged them to take action against the airline.
