In an effort that would make even the most glamorous bridges green with envy, the RTA is laying down a 300-metre bridge that will seamlessly connect Sheikh Zayed Road to the Mall of the Emirates. Forget those traffic jams that make you want to tear your hair out; this bridge will smooth out your journey faster than you can say “shopping spree.” But that’s not all – the ramp at the Umm Suqeim intersection is getting a grand makeover, ensuring your entry and exit from the mall will be as elegant as your shopping choices.

The fun doesn’t stop at bridges. The RTA’s grand scheme also includes sprucing up 2.5 km of roads surrounding the mall. We’re talking upgraded paving, sparkly new lighting, and traffic signals that make sense. Pedestrians and cyclists, rejoice! They’ll get their very own shiny new lanes. And let’s not forget the transformation of a nearby street from one-way to two-way traffic – because who doesn’t love a good plot twist?
In an exciting turn of events, the project even touches the Mall of the Emirates Metro Station, revamping the bus station and ensuring your journey from the station to the mall is as smooth as your favourite latte. With these changes, travel time from Umm Suqeim will drop from a leisurely 15 minutes to a snappy 8 minutes. That’s right – you’ll spend less time in traffic and more time exploring those 454 stores and 96 eateries.

The RTA’s partnership with Majid Al Futtaim Group ensures that as Dubai’s urban landscape evolves, its infrastructure keeps pace with growth and innovation.
In essence, this project is not just about a new bridge and better roads. It’s about turning a trip to the Mall of the Emirates into an effortlessly delightful experience. And isn’t that just what every shopping enthusiast dreams of?
