Allepey officially called Alappuzha is a city in Kerala also known as ‘Venice of the east. It is famous for its boat races, beaches, backwaters, canals, lagoons, paddy fields, churches, and coir industry. This coastal town in Kerala is full of scenic landscapes, picturesque settings, adventure sports, etc. Alleppey is one of the oldest towns in India that was built according to a proper town plan.

1. Stay in Houseboats

The houseboats of Alappuzha in the backwaters are one of the most exciting yet relaxing things to do in this chaotic city. 2. Kayaking in Alleppey

Kayaking can be the best way to experience Alleppey’s backwaters. A short training is given by the guide before actually going Kayaking. It’s even a great way to see the nearby villages, and canals, basically the places where houseboats can’t go and that’s why Kayaking is considered a recreational activity. Mostly they first take everyone to the starting point and give some refreshments there.
