These Cities In Karnataka Are Breathing The Best Air In India
As per CPCB’s latest report, released on Sunday, 7 out of the 13 Indian cities that are currently in the ‘Good’ air quality category are in Karnataka. According to Times Now, for this report, CPCB takes the average AQI of the past 24 hours into account. Cities like Chamarajanagar, Bagalkot, Haveri, Kolar, Madikeri, Mangaluru, and Vijayapura are enjoying the cleanest air in India right now.
According to reports, the lowest AQI recorded in India on Sunday was 44 for Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar area. The second-best air quality was reported in Karnataka’s Bagalkot with an AQI of 46. While Chamarajanagar is famous for the ancient temples in the region, it also has massive forest cover. This is helping the people in the region to breathe better. Bagalkot, another historic district, is located by the Ghataprabha River and has a lot of green covers that are helping make the region’s AQI better.
Bengaluru, known for its good weather, recorded a ‘Moderate’ AQI on Monday. As per Hindustan Times, the city’s AQI was 116 on Monday. This means children and people with respiratory ailments should limit their outdoor activities.
