Atlys, an online visa application platform, recently released a report giving insights into the travel behaviours of Gen Z and millennials. According to their analysis, 73% of young Indians are opting to travel during off-peak times. This way, they can avoid crowds and reduce travel costs significantly as well. Furthermore, they reported that Gen Z and millennial travellers are leveraging technology to create personalised and smooth travel experiences.

As per the report, travel is more than just a pastime for young Indians and has become an integral part of their lifestyle. Indian Gen Z and millennials are actively attending international sports events, exploring cultural hotspots, or embarking on solo adventures. In fact, during the recently concluded Paris Olympics, Atlys saw a whopping 40% increase in travel listings for the host city and most of them were driven by young travellers.

Atlys’ report also showed that 65% of Gen Z and millennial users on their platform are under the age of 35. Interestingly, these young minds are more inclined towards solo adventures and tech-savvy experiences. On the international front, countries like the UAE, Vietnam, and Egypt have been some of the biggest draws for Indians. On the other hand, Egypt, Azerbaijan, and Oman are the new hotspots for solo travellers.
