A New 1.8 Km Green Belt Park Running Track With Eco-Friendly Lighting Opens In Sharjah

The Sharjah City Municipality recently announced the opening of the Green Belt Park walkway. This is a 1.8 km rubber running track, which is designed for walking and jogging. Not to mention, it comes alongside eco-friendly lighting, which makes it a lot easier for people to continue with the workout.

Green Belt Park Walkway Inaugurated In Sharjah

The Green Belt Park walkway is now open to the public after completion of all the construction and finishing works. It features landscaped surroundings and eco-friendly lighting alongside the rubber running track. Moreover, residents and visitors are offered a dedicated recreational space, which is designed to support a healthy lifestyle.

As revealed in a report of the Gulf News, the rubber track is built around the perimeter of the park. It is installed according to the internationally-approved specifications so that it ensures safety and durability, and there is comfort for the people who are using the track.

Eco-Friendly Lighting System In Park

The municipality mentions how the work included the installation of an environmentally friendly lighting system. Not to mention, there was also landscaping around the walkway and high-quality materials were used. The track has been designed with sufficient flexibility so that there is smooth movement. Not to mention, it will also withstand colour fading, which is often caused by weather conditions or heavy use.

It is worth noting that seating areas will also be provided to visitors as part of the development. With eco-friendly lighting poles installed, there will be clear visibility for walkers and runners during the evening. It is a part of the wider infrastructure and recreational projects that are being implemented by the Sharjah City Municipality for enhancing public services.

This development comes as the municipality continues to implement recreation infrastructure projects under its annual plans.
