As per a post shared by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, a rare and majestic golden tiger was spotted in Kaziranga National Park. In the picture shared, you can see a tiger with golden stripes matting his fur walking around the national park. The golden stripes, instead of the usual black ones, are an unusual sight and one that has left people awestruck. This golden tiger is believed to be a variant of the Bengal tiger. Its peculiar stripes can be understood as a result of the genetic mutation.
A rare species of golden tiger roams the Kaziranga National Park in Assam. Our Kaziranga is really unique. Thanks to the present govt of Assam.
Poachers killed wildlife here almost every day during the previous Congress govt. And now that dark chapter is over. pic.twitter.com/AnHOflxzz4

There were also a few people who raised questions about inbreeding that could have resulted in this rare golden tiger.
Dear Chief Minister, golden tigers are a sign that there’s excessive inbreeding among the tigers in Kaziranga. This is due to lack of proper corridors for tiger movement from one habitat to another. I request you to kindly connect – Nameri-Pakke NP to KNP via green corridor.
