This initiative is inspired by the 2025 Year of the Community. It reflects a commitment to equality, dignity, and shared responsibility. Simply put: it’s a place where everyone, no matter their abilities, can kick back, relax, and enjoy the beach just like anyone else.
Here’s what makes this beach more than just a pretty shoreline:
- Special transport services and marked walkways have been created to support visually impaired visitors
- Instructional boards with Braille detail swimming guidelines for ease and independence
- A protected walking path includes guiding ropes and sound cues to help navigate towards the sea
- A designated swim area is constantly observed by professional lifeguards to ensure safety
- Braille-friendly visitor guides ensure everyone can enjoy the experience to the fullest
- On-site security and medical support are available, with a qualified nurse present at all times
The World Disability Union has officially named it a “Disability-Friendly Beach”.
