Authorities confirm that a drone was intercepted, and debris caused a minor fire on the Burj Al Arab’s outer facade. Civil Defence teams responded immediately and brought the incident under control. No injuries have been reported.

3. Dubai International Airport Concourse Sustains Damage
A concourse at the Dubai International Airport sustained minor damage in an incident, but this was quickly contained. The emergency response teams had immediately been deployed. As reported by the Dubai Media Office, four staff were injured, and they received prompt medical attention. Since the contingency plan was already in place, most of the terminals had previously been cleared of passengers.
4. Drone Debris Falls On Zayed International Airport
Authorities in Abu Dhabi are responding to an incident resulting from the interception of a drone that targeted Zayed International Airport. The interception led to falling debris, which resulted in one fatality of an Asian national and seven injuries.

Flights across the UAE continue to remain suspended. For instance, Etihad Airways has announced that its flights to and from are going to remain suspended until March 2nd, 2 AM. However, it has also announced that guests who are booked until this date can rebook their flights for free of charge. Emirates announces flight suspension until 3 PM, and flydubai has also announced the same.
