The Hajj Season is here and the airlines are going out of their way to ensure that pilgrims have a great experience, as they take on the journey of a lifetime. And it seems that Emirates is not the one to be left behind. Taking this quite seriously, the airlines is all geared up to serve the large volumes of pilgrims, who will be travelling to Mecca for this sacred religious duty. Here’s how Emirates is ready to serve the passengers.

Emirates is ensuring that passengers travelling to Jeddah and Madina to perform the once-in-a-lifetime Muslim pilgrimage have a great experience. For this, they have thought through all the necessary touch-points of the journey for a comfortable experience. For this purpose, they have ensured that all the services from the ground to onboard experiences are completely seamless. Take a look!

Additional Flights To Jeddah & Medina

The airline has deployed 10 additional flights that will be operational between June 21 and 26. These flights will be carrying the pilgrims to Jeddah and Madina. Not to mention, they have been carefully timed to meet the flight schedules from important markets. Yes, this includes Senegal, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, and Pakistan, to name some. The additional flights will be operated alongside the scheduled services to the two destinations in Saudi Arabia to offer an increased choice and options to thousands of passengers.

A Seamless Journey

Every important checkpoint at the airport is bound to be a seamless experience, as dedicated teams will be guiding pilgrims for seamless connectivity. These airport service teams have been tasked with meeting and escorting all pilgrims from arrival to departure. Moreover, dedicated Emirates Airport Service personnel will be holding signs with special greetings for pilgrims from there they will be escorted all the way to the connection desk for their onward journey or to the Emirates Hotel Desk. After this, they can pick up their hotel vouchers so that they can be transferred to Emirates buses and finally to the hotels.

Onboard Experience

The airline has made special provisions for accommodating those performing ablutions they are being provided with perfume towels and additional blankets. Not to mention, a special PA will be advising passengers when they enter Al Kiqat zone, so that they can change into Ihram robes. In fact, travellers can also choose to listen to the holy Quran channel or even verses on Ice. Moreover, they can check in with up to 5 L of holy water on return, which will be placed in the special areas in the cargo hold.

At this point, note that these Hajj special flights are available to those who hold valid Hajj visas. Not to mention, pilgrims must be under the age of 65 and also hold a valid vaccination certificate. The certificates must be authorised by the Saudi Ministry of Health. So, if you also have a pending Hajj flight with Emirates, this is what you can expect from them.
