AED 50,000 Fine For Violating Quarantine Rules Upon Arrival In Dubai

Dubai has eased restrictions and now most businesses are back and running in the emirate. Gyms, cinemas, parks and beaches are now open to the public, with restrictions in place. However, quarantine rules remain in place for travellers arriving at DXB. Residents returning to UAE will face a fine of AED 50,000 if they violate mandatory quarantine rules of the country.

As per the law, residents who fail to follow home quarantine rules will be fined AED 50,000. All residents must follow the home quarantine manuals, and quarantine at private facilities determined by competent authorities. In addition, residents returning to the UAE must complete a Covid test prior to departure. Accredited laboratories are located in 106 cities across 17 countries worldwide. Furthermore, passengers will be advised to home quarantine or sent to a quarantine facility, at their own expense.
