After 6 Months, Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve Is Open To Visitors From Oct 15

Located in Assam, Kaziranga National Park is a national park that is home to two-thirds of the world’s rhinoceros population. In fact, it was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it was declared as a tiger reserve! According to reports, the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve will open for visitors from October 15!

According to an official release, the Eastern Assam Wildlife Division’s Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve will reopen to visitors on October 15 for the season 2023–2024. As per the Divisional Forest Officer of the Eastern Assam Wildlife Division, the park is only partially open for Jeep Safari in two ranges: Kaziranga Range, Kohora, and Western Range, Bagori, because of the current road conditions brought on by the bad weather.

Every Wednesday afternoon, the Western Range, Bagori, and the Kaziranga Range, Kohora, will be closed. Until further notice or instructions, travellers are currently permitted to travel from Mihimukh via Daflang Tower via Vaichamari Junction under Kaziranga Range, Kohora up to Bimoli Tiniali via Donga Tower under Western Range, Bagori, and vice versa.

1. Hollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary

The only ape species to be found in India is the Hoolock Gibbon, after which this sanctuary is named. Approximately 106 Hollock Gibbons are housed there, which is a magnificent sight to behold. In addition, the Sanctuary encompasses the Dissoi Valley Reserve Forest, which is a different enchantment for those who enjoy the outdoors and wildlife.

2. Kaziranga National Orchid & Diversity Park

One of the most well-liked tourist attractions in Kaziranga National Park is it. It contains 600 distinct varieties of orchids that have been collected from all across the breathtaking North East. Your lens will be compelled to indulge in photography by the relaxing tranquilly and stunning flowers.

3. Ethnic Village

The ideal location to visit close to Kaziranga National Park is Karbi Anglong. One of the greatest ways to experience Kaziranga tourism is to hike the routes to Singhason, the district’s highest peak.
