After Educating India About Clean Eating, Food Pharmer To Launch His “OWN” Food Brand

Revant Himatsingka, also known as the Food Pharmer on Instagram, is quite popular on the platform. He is known for calling out food manufacturing companies for using misleading labels or selling sugary foods in the name of health. Trusted by millions of health-conscious Indians, Food Pharmer has now announced the launch of his brand called ‘OWN’, which stands for ‘Only What’s Needed’.

Before we get into the details about this new food brand, let us tell you all about Revant Himatsingka. He left his high-paying job in the USA to focus on exposing misleading health brands in India. Revant calls out these brands that often sell sugar-filled products under the guise of health and wellness items. Plus, he is often seen uncovering such brands and their so-called “clean labels” on Instagram, earning him popularity with health-conscious users on the Platform.

Tired of misleading labels and claims, he pushed himself to step up and launch his brand. This health-focused brand, ‘OWN’, will manufacture products with clean labels and no chemicals. His first product will be a whey protein powder, which is created to rival others in the market that are often packed with sweeteners and artificial flavours. This product is set for a soft launch in June 2025, with a full roll-out planned for July 2025.

Commenting on this, Revant Himatsingka said, “Most companies put unnecessary ingredients that are often harmful. We are going to put only what’s needed. So, you are owning your own health because you are voting for it and it’s your own product,” to Moneycontrol. He has also mentioned that apart from using his ideas for the brand, he is taking suggestions from his followers about the ingredients they want in upcoming products.

From Take Charge To OWN, His Followers Helped Renaming His Brand

The brand, initially named ‘Take Charge’ by Revant, was later renamed OWN after his followers disliked the original name. Talking about his brand, he also added, “I am trying to launch a militant clean label brand. I won’t even call it a brand; it’s more like a movement to try to make clean products”.

People will be able to buy OWN products not only from the official website but also through e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart and more. His products won’t be available offline, as he feels he doesn’t yet have expertise in that market.

As for pricing, he was honest and admitted his products won’t be cheap, as he’ll be using high-quality, clean ingredients. However, he plans to cut down on marketing and advertising expenses. According to him, the goal is not to compete with cheap brands but to sell products that are affordable, healthy and clean.

Food Pharmer Approved – A Brand-New Initiative

Alongside launching OWN, he is working on a new initiative called ‘Food Pharmer Approved’. This will be a type of certification for brands that, in his view, sell genuinely healthy food. It will help his followers buy without worrying about the ingredients. “I will approve brands which I think are authentic. This can potentially expand beyond packaged foods, like approving a healthy restaurant. ‘Food Pharmer Approved’ will be like a symbol or a certification.”, he shared with Money Control.

Revant Himatsingka’s leap from Instagram food critic to business owner is one to watch. He’s not only taking his passion to a new level but also urging his followers to choose products with clean labels. Whether the brand succeeds or not, one thing is clear: his followers are backing him fully in this new health-driven venture.
