In between all of these, news started circulating about them ordering food from a restaurant in the City of Joy.

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Knotty Commander (@knottycommander) Knotty Commander (@knottycommander) shared how the men in green placed an order for biryani, kebabs & chaap from the famous Zam Zam Restaurant in Kolkata.

Pakistan team decided to not eat the dinner served at the hotel they were staying at. Instead, they took the help of an online delivery platform and ordered some lip-smacking delicacies from the famous Zam Zam restaurant. They ordered some of Kolkata’s popular dishes such as biryani, chaap, kebabs, firni, and shahi tukda from this restaurant in Park Circus, according to a report by Sports Tak.
Zam Zam was not aware of the fact that the neighbouring country’s cricket team placed this order online. Shadman Faize, Zam Zam Restaurant’s Director, shared how they came to know about it afterward. Pakistan team ordered all these delicacies after 7 PM on Sunday, according to a report by Business Standard.
The Men in Green landed in Kolkata on October 28 to face Bangladesh in their next match. They arrived in the City of Joy with proper security. There were about 6 cars to carry every one of the team. A bomb squad and sniffer dogs inspected all the cars before heading towards the hotel, according to a report by India.com.

This is not the first time the team arrived in an Indian city and enjoyed the local and authentic delicacies. Back in Hyderabad, the entire team headed to the popular Jewel of Nizam and gorged on loads of finger-licking dishes such as biryani, kebabs, Hyderabadi haleem, gosht salan, and more. The team is receiving a lot of flak for their performances from fans and cricketers from all around the world. Recently, Wasim Akram talked about the team’s fitness, performances, and their food habits. He criticised the fitness conditions of the cricketers playing in the Pakistan team.
Today’s match between Bangladesh and Pakistan is an extremely crucial one for the Pakistan team, in fact, a do-or-die one. Their past performances in the ongoing tournament have not been well enough to place them at the top ranks of the table. Currently, the team is standing at the 7th rank with only 2 wins out of 6 matches. On the other hand, Bangladesh is in the 9th position, the second last on the points table. The team managed to win only 1 match after playing a total of 6 matches.
