Oman’s state-run news agency, ONA, has confirmed that the Eid break will start on Saturday, March 29, 2025. However, when you return to work depends on when Eid begins:

  • If Eid falls on Sunday, March 30, then work will resume on Wednesday, April 2, giving you a solid five-day break.
  • If Eid falls on Monday, March 31, then you get lucky! Work will resume on Sunday, April 6, meaning a luxurious nine-day holiday.

This flexible approach ensures everyone gets to enjoy Eid properly, without worrying about work commitments.

However, employees who work during this time must receive compensation according to labour laws. So, if your boss asks you to work, make sure you know your rights!
