After Video Of Bad Quality Food Served On Vande Bharat Gets Posted On Twitter, IRCTC Claims To Make It Right

Twitter is famous for bringing light to all that the world needs to know. This time around, bad food quality on the newly inaugurated Vande Bharat train caught everybody’s attention.

Bad Food Quality On Vande Bharat

A video depicting the “poor food quality” of the train’s Vande Bharat Express, which runs between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam, is making the rounds online.  It has just been over a month since its inauguration. Needless to say, everyone has high expectations from this venture.  An NTVTelugulive journalist, Ramesh Vaitla, shared a clip of a man on Friday demonstrating the calibre of the food served on trains. The man is seen in the clip extracting a significant amount of grease from a piece of fried food.

IRCTC Promises To Take Action

IRCTC didn’t take a lot of time to take responsibility for this incident and shared their statement as a response to the same video. The post was quickly reacted to by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The corporation assured that the relevant authorities have been alerted of the situation and it is being taken care of.

The official Twitter handle for railway users also commented about getting in touch with the journalist to review the situation thoroughly.

People commented on the tweet and the general food quality of the Indian Railways, which has gained some popularity. Some people said fried food is supposed to have oil. There were others who urged railways to improve their quality and expand their menu.

Vande Bharat has been a recipient of constant scrutiny. Just a week ago, a photo showing trash lying on the floor of the train coaches was posted on Twitter. While food quality is not something we can’t control, littering is entirely in our hands.
